Production & Operations Coordinator

Full-Time Permanent Role | Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a practical, hands-on Production & Operations Coordinator to support a busy manufacturing environment. This role is a mix of physical production and operational support, with a strong focus on keeping materials moving, stock accurate, and production running smoothly.

You will be involved in day-to-day production activity, including stock counting, material handling, and assisting the production team on the floor when required, as well as coordinating purchasing and inventory processes.


Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Materials Handling

  • Assist production team with handling and movement of raw materials and consumables
  • Support production line activities when required (hands-on assistance on the floor)
  • Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Ensure materials are available to support daily production requirements
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organised production area
  • Support general production workflow to minimise downtime and delays

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Manage purchasing of raw materials for manufacturing operations
  • Maintain minimum stock levels aligned with production forecasts (at least 1-week buffer)
  • Conduct weekly stocktakes of consumable production materials
  • Create and process purchase orders (JDE system) and obtain approvals
  • Match delivery dockets, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Follow up on supplier delays, shortages, or schedule changes
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements and purchasing activity
  • Process invoices and support approval workflows
  • Prepare weekly raw materials consumption reports
  • Manage PPE and uniform ordering and distribution
  • Enter daily production data and maintain production records

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a production, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with stock control or inventory experience
  • Comfortable with hands-on work in a production setting
  • Basic administrative and data entry skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • WMS system experience (JDE or similar) highly regarded
